The HANNAH HOUSE features:

– Photovoltaic solar panels on sloped roof
– Green roof on flat roof section for passive cooling, air filtering and rain water capture and use
– South facing solid concrete block wall for thermal mass storage
– Continuous line of top operable windows for ventilation and air circulation
– Porous ground coverage for majority of open site
– Low E Argon filled windows to allow solar gain but reduce heat loss
– High R value wall insulation to lower energy consumption and heating and cooling expenses

– Modern design of facades using traditional materials
– Open floor plan for common living spaces
– Long views into site allowed by keeping the entrance open toward linear stair and back facade
– Linear open stair and two level space at entrace maintain a sense of spaciousness inspite of the tight floor area
– 3 or 4 bedroom configurations with 3 full bathrooms and a family room in second floor
